Responsibilities

• Develop back-end applications that operate on massive amounts of data efficiently
  
• Install, run, and test software solutions in a UNIX/Linux environment
  
• Design software and draft technical documents
  
• Test and debug functional and performance related issues
  
• Be a contributing member of a diverse, knowledgeable, and energetic team of engineers

Requirements

• B.S. or B.A in Computer science or related field (Masters preferred)
  
• Minimum 7+ years software development experience
  
• Knowledge of SQL and relational data structures
  
• Solid Java skills(4+ years experience)
  
• A deep understanding of computational complexity, efficiency, and running times of algorithms
  
• Experience with large data sets
  
• Experience in optimizing multi-threaded code in parallel environments (e.g. multiple CPUs)
  
• Experience working in UNIX/Linux environments
  
• Exceptional problem solving skills and attention to detail
  
• Strong motivation and ability to work independently
